Tracy Golamb - 1953 to 2009

This my tribute to my brother Tracy. I've reduced the size. I hope it is enough.
If you can see this, I hope you enjoy the effort and love with which it was made.
My previous posts tell his story in words.
I hope this video in pictures and music does the same.

It's a little long, but worth the time.
Thanks for giving of your time to view it.

Tink, you did an excellent job of composing this pictorial. Its such a
nice tribute to Tracy. It brought back some great memories and filled in some gaps as well. The only way it could be more comprehensive would be as a movie! Thanks for taking the time and painstaking effort to put it all together and for giving me the honor to view it.
Our memories live on!

Thanks for your comments. It took more effort on my part than I first imagined, both emotionally and technically.

Joe, I have other things I could have included, but given that these would have required a greater and longer effort. Given all the variables, this was the best way to accomplish something and give it to Tracy's girls.

Kori, I have been listening to your work for a long time now, and Planetary Dawn seemed to be so appropriate. It talked to me of the innocence of his early life and I could not have asked for a better introduction. Thank you for your contribution.

A poignant memory to share:
When I moved back to phoenix from Flagstaff in 1979, times were a bit tough getting started again - divorced, renting, reinstating my old job at srp, etc. Well after a few years bouncing around with rentals Tracy was buying the house in Chandler on chicago st.and we
were talking one time and he kept bugging me about some new homes they were building up the road off chandler blvd...finally I said okay okay I'll go check out the models.
When I did it looked pretty good and reasonable but still tight for a guy in my situation. Well, it happened and I did buy that house in 1984. Thanks to Tracy's persistence in urging me to look into it! Good friends are few and far between. I purchased a few more house since then but he really did give me the push I needed back then. So,it is good to cherish the memories that help make us who we are.

Tink, I'm so bummed right now. I just found out about Tracy. What a fantastic tribute to him. Just awesome. He was my best friend for about six years until my family moved to Calif., when I was 12. Trace and I would mow lawns together for 2 or 3 bucks a lawn and then ride our stingrays (his gold, mine purple) to Smitty's to get one of their huge delicious maple or chocolate bars and a soda. When it rained we would float down 87th on innertubes to the creek and beyond, and then catch toads and frogs and bring them home with us (what a long walk home that was in the rain, but well worth it). Remember the fun we had swimming at the Salt
River Project pool and then eating beef jerky after in the clubhouse? And how about the race car sets we got for Christmas. You guys had the Pike's Peak version. We use to go horse-back riding. To the best of my recollection, Tracy's favorite horse was the big white one named "Ghost". He and I both fell off a bunch of times (ouch) because we let them run full out. We use to play house with
Tanya and our neighbor, Sharon Rusnak. We'd set up chairs and put blankets over them. Tanya was my first kiss and I believe Sharon was Tracy's. I remember when you first got your license, Tink. You use to drive Trace and I around in that big brand new blue suburban and we would sit way in the back. I remember your three little dogs - Snowball, Snowflake, and Rex. What great memories from so long ago. Maybe one day we can see each other again. If we come to Arizona or if you come to California. I still live in the San Fernando Valley. Not in the same house, though. Remember you came to visit when I was about 15. You were in the Navy and you came with your buddy in your MG. Sounds like your life is going pretty well, other than this tragedy. Say hello to Tanya for me. Wish I would have done this 5 or 10 years ago.
Take care Tink,
Jim Krug
