It is more than sad that the resulting tragedy seems to be a regular occurrence in the news, and the people who should be paying attention seem to be saying, "This won't happen to me"... and yet, here we are again with another grim reminder.

She survived her first driving-while-texting accident – but not her second
This has been a flaming hot button of mine for a long time and it angers me that more isn't done to bring this subject under a better understanding. All kinds of companies seem to do their utmost to enable the issue without employing the kinds of safeguards needed to help. Education is not enough to instruct and explain the dangers, because I see regular misuse of the technology on a daily basis.
